Lapar Control Valve Co., Limited assembles, laps and dispatches globe valve packages from the Tai Kok Tsui loft at Rm 12 6/F Hang Cheong Centre, 138 Bedford Rd, Tai Kok Tsui, Hong Kong - 999077, Hong Kong (HK). Every bay is measured against a written seat target before a single crate leaves the floor. If you need a quotation, the workshop door is open and a short note gets you a reply →.
Our work sits between heavy fabrication and systems integration, where a valve is never a spare part but a controlled interface between pressure, flow and the operators who depend on both. That is why the same crew that grinds a seat also signs the dispatch sheet.
Visitors often expect a showroom and instead find a working lane of benches. Globe valve bodies arrive on the left, travel through trim fitting and lapping, pause at the pressure test window, and leave on the right as crated, tagged packages. Nothing sits in the middle of the floor for weeks. The lane keeps stock honest and keeps every operator aware of what the next bench expects.
Below are the six bays our clients book most often. Each bay has its own tools, its own paperwork and its own standard of finish, and each one appears again in greater detail on the services page.
L
Globe Valve Bays
Globe valve bodies are cleaned, inspected and fitted in dedicated bays where the seat throat is measured before assembly. Each bay holds one body at a time, so no component is ever swapped between jobs by accident. See the Globe Valve Bays section for the inspection sequence.

Actuator Kit Runs
Pneumatic and manual actuators are matched to body size, stem travel and torque demand in a single run of the bay. Kits are kitted, labelled and trial stroked before they join the valve. Full kit notes live in the Actuator Kit Runs write-up.
AKV
Trim Set Desks
Stems, discs, seats and packing sets are sorted at long desks under task lighting so that each trim set is complete before it travels. Missing rings are caught at the desk, not at final assembly. The Trim Set Desks account explains the matching rules.

Pressure Test Windows
Hydrostatic and pneumatic test windows are booked in advance and run against a written table of pressures. Results are recorded on the dispatch sheet the moment the gauge settles. The Pressure Test Windows passage covers booking and witness options.

Seat Lapping Reviews
Seat faces are lapped by hand or on a slow driver, then reviewed under a low lamp for a continuous contact band. A review that fails is repeated, never signed off on hope. The Seat Lapping Reviews section describes the acceptance mark.
SLD
Dispatch Sheet Sittings
Before crating, the whole package is walked through a dispatch sitting where tags, torque records and test dates are compared line by line. Nothing is sealed until the sheet and the hardware agree. Details sit in the Dispatch Sheet Sittings note.

Why the details survive the trip
A control valve leaves our loft only once it can be described in three simple states: open, seated and shut. Open means the stem travels the full stroke without binding, so the actuator never fights a dry guide. Seated means the disc lands on a lapped face with a contact band that inspectors can read at a glance. Shut means the assembly holds pressure at the test window and the packing stays dry for the duration of the hold.
Those three states sound simple, yet they depend on a long chain of small decisions. A body with a pitted throat will not lap cleanly, so the globe valve bays begin with a bore check. A stem with a burr will tear packing on the first stroke, so trim set desks reject stems by touch and by thread gauge. An actuator sized on body diameter alone will chatter near the seat, so the actuator kit runs compare spring torque against the measured breakaway torque of the finished valve.
Clients in computer integrated systems work often ask for valves that can be tracked from a control cabinet. We do not build the controller, but we do label and record every unit so that the integrator can map a tag to a physical body without guesswork. Serial plates, test dates and packing torque values are written on the dispatch sheet and repeated on the crate label. When a package reaches a plant room, the installer can confirm identity in seconds rather than minutes.
The loft itself shapes the method. Rm 12 6/F Hang Cheong Centre is a working floor, not a display suite, and the lane is narrow enough that clutter becomes obvious. Benches are cleared at the end of each shift, crates are stacked by destination, and the pressure test window is scheduled so that no queue forms outside it. That discipline is the quiet reason clients return.
How a job moves down the lane
Every order follows the same five moves, whether it is a single globe valve for a pilot skid or a mixed crate for a plant room. The sequence is fixed so that a supervisor can find any item on the floor at any hour.
Intake and identity
The body is logged against the purchase line, the tag is confirmed with the client, and any mismatch in size, rating or end connection is raised before work starts. Intake also records the condition of the bore so that later lapping results can be judged fairly.
Trim matching
Stems, discs and seats are drawn from the stores and matched to the body at the trim desk. Each set is checked for completeness against a simple count list, and the desk marks the set before it releases it to the bay.
Seat lapping
The seat is lapped and reviewed under a low lamp. The reviewer looks for a continuous grey contact band with no bright rings, because brightness signals a high spot that will leak under pressure. Failed seats return to the lap plate immediately.
Assembly and actuator fitting
Packing is fitted to the recorded torque, the bonnet is bolted to the body, and the actuator is stroked by hand before air is applied. Any binding in the stroke is treated as a fault and corrected before the next stage.
Test and dispatch sitting
The finished valve is taken to the test window, held at the agreed pressure, and inspected for leakage at the seat and at the packing. The dispatch sitting then compares the sheet line by line with the hardware before the crate is closed.
Lapar Control Valve Co., Limited opens its dispatch sheet window for the coming week and invites buyers to reserve a test slot before the lane fills.
